My mom bought an antique table today at a yard sale and we are trying to figure out what it was originally used for. It has three drawers under the table, but they are vertical and really deep. There are grooves on the sides of the tabletop, like there was something there, as well as two divets in the back (probably for a mirror or some other top). I have searched online for something that looks like it, but can't find anything. Can anyone tell me what she may have bought?

The illumination on a tabletop is 20 lx. The lamp providing the illumination is 4 m above the table. What is the intensity of the lamp at 1 meter? Is it: 12.56? Also: If a laser hits a mirror at an angle of 30 degrees, at what angle is the laser reflected?

The tabletop used to be a whole mirror. But it broke. I've torn off some parts, but there's an adhesive under the mirror that sticks to the glass. Should I just have the mirror professionally replaced? Other ideas?

Okay- my kids dream rooms are getting out of hand budget wise. They both want a *beauty bar.* AKA vanity table. I already got mirrors that go with their themes and chairs. I have looked all over for white tables (even on the internet) that aren't too costly- but even the cheaper ones have terrible shipping cost. I always see those tables in magazines that are mounted to the wall. Anyone know where I can find white ones- not too pricey? *We don't have an Ikea anywhere close - and the shipping is crazy to this state.* Any other ideas if you don't know where to buy those?

I'm refinishing a table and have the last coat of polyurethane on it. How can I finish buff it to a mirror shine?

I recently moved to a new house and recently I saw Marie Antoinette. I love the French Colonial theme with the pretty blues and gold. I would really like to do the blues and rich golds in my bedding. So now I am on the quest to find bedding, excessories and things I can put on my dressers ect. My furniture is a deep almost cherry wood.
