How can we get the bathroom mirrors we want at a good price?
We just bought a house and are remodeling. I would like to put framed mirrors in the bathrooms, but am having a hard time finding the sizes and styles that I want. Would it be possible to have the mirrors that were on the walls previously cut down a few inchesand framed? Is there a company that could do that for us? We live in the north Dallas area.

As long as the mirrors were not glued to the wall using mastic, any mirror company can resize them for you and any frame shop will frame them. One potential problem, if they have a bevel at the edge you would lose that. But, you can get exactly what kind of mirror in exactly the size you want simply by calling glass shops telling them the size and bevel you want taking that to a frame shop (or even Michale's craft stores) choosing the frame you desire and they will create the mirror of your dreams.
any glass supply shop can cut them down to size. if they are just attached with the plastic holders- super easy. If not- just buy new plain ones at home depot/ lowes. if you want them framed out- we bought thetrim we liked, glued the mirror to the wall, then glued the trim pieces to the wall around the mirrior creating a frame, painted it the color we wanted. you can either use a miter saw to cut the angles for the frame or do straight cuts and use the decorative trim squares to butt them up against. hope this helps....I would not have aframe made at Michaels (for one they are expensive) beacuse then you will have to hang the mirror as it it were a picture leaving the possibility it will fall, and forever be hanging crooked. Plus I have to say I have 7 frames made at Michaels and the little metal tabs that they out in to hold the backing, glass, and picture in place are falling out- some only have 3 left...
